WP Engine’s pricing model for managed WordPress hosting has always been competitive, but also not exactly affordable… for a reason. WP Engine sells premium WordPress hosting, if you’re looking for bargain basement look elsewhere.
Scalability, security, & speed are why people choose WP Engine, and we’re happy to say after being an agency customer for over 7 years, with hundreds of clients hosted, they deliver.
WP Engine Cost
The true cost with web hosting has to include not only your monthly fee, but also the cost involved in maintenance and upkeep. The is where WP Engine shines, as the “true cost” to host is made lower thanks to their extensive features such as daily backups, one-click backup and restore, security monitoring, and extensive Customer Portal features.
The biggest difference however remains their support. Not easily quantifiable, their live chat operators, and support team is unmatched in the industry.
WP Engine Pricing 2024
WP Engine’s pricing tends to change frequently, but I’ll attempt to give you a snapshot into where the pricing is now and promise (famous last words) to update this post as things change.
One Website Cost
25K visits/month, 10 GB storage, 75 GB bandwidth:
$20/month
Three Websites Cost
75K visits/month, 15 GB storage, 150 GB bandwidth:
$40/month
Final Advice
I caution you not to evaluate solely on specifications. One web host might offer unlimited websites, or unlimited bandwidth, or simply a higher allocation of resources for a lower price but it’s no promise that they’ll be able to deliver consistent, reliable service. In fact, the better the offer the more suspect you should become about the web host’s long term viability.
