Panasonic DVD-LS82 8.5″ Portable DVD Player with Headrest Kit

portable dvd
I purchases this portable DVD player at Best Buy about 3 weeks ago and I have to say that it is GREAT. Now, I have not owned a DVD player nor have I ever owned a personal DVD player before, but this player works soo good. I chose this one because it had the longest battery life of 12 hours. All the other had battery lives of 2-6 hours. Not only can this be used on the plane, car, wherever but you can hook it up to your home TV and strap it to your vehicle’s headrest in just two seconds. I use it in the car alot for my daughter and she loves it, and I don’t have cables hanging and such because the battery is soo long lasting that it works for a whole day. You can buy it on Amazon.com for less than Best Buy.

Valentine’s Day Tech Gifts

For Valentine’s Day why not get your favorite someone a tech gadget rather than some chocolates and flowers? Gadgets and other such items will stay around for a lifetime where chocolates get devoured in 1 day and flowers last maybe a week or two. There are some great ideas out there on the net for this Valentine’s day such as:

Pink Cell Phone

Dell Laptop (you can get in several colors!)

Pink Swiss Army Knife

And so many more ideas.

Romance in Boston

A few years ago I took my fiance to Boston for a romantic getaway. Since we only live just two hours from Boston it was an easy drive for us. I love going to Boston because it is so rich in history and it has great attractions and excellent restaurants for a romantic dinner. We had so much fun while were in Boston that we have made sure to go back a few times since and a great place to get family vacation ideas is at the Trusted Tours & Attractions website.

If you are looking for a romantic place for you and your wife or girlfriend to go for this Valentine’s Day the Trusted Tours & Attractions website has all kinds of ideas and city’s to choose from to make your romantic travel plans. Since I live near Boston I look up things to do in Boston on the Trusted Tours website.

Since we have a family now and have gone back with our daughter we have had some great times in the big city. We have even brought along family to watch our daughter so my wife and I could get out for a romantic dinner each night and we have had great times.

Make sure to sign up for the Trusted Tours e-newsletter when you visit their website and you could get a chance to win a digital camera!

Netflix still alive and kicking

I became a member of Netflix back when they first started out and I have to say that it worked out pretty good. I got the movies on time and the return packaging was very easy. I stayed a member for about 4 months and then just got tired of watching movies. I know they have a larger selection of movies now and even lower prices than before too. Netflix has plans starting at $4.99 per month and you get 1 DVD at a time. They also have a FREE two week trial which is a great way to see if you watch enough movies to make them worth your time.

Basecamp/Zoho Look Over Your Shoulder

A big ol’ Google Train is coming down the tracks. SugarCRM … you might be next.

Some people will debate this, however I believe this is just the X step towards Google dominating the online app world and pushing consolidation of the smaller players.

clipped from www.techcrunch.com

Google has released a new version of Google Apps called “Team Edition” that, on first blush, doesn’t offer much that’s new. The same document, spreadsheet, instant messaging, calendaring, and start page functionality that we’ve come to expect from Google Apps is here. But now it’s easier for groups within established organizations (businesses, universities, etc.) to collaborate using Google Apps without getting their entire organization to buy into Google Apps (quite literally) first.
